سخنرانی کورش زعیم در منزل حشمت الله تبرزدی

روزی نیست که خبر بازداشت شماری از دانشجویان و فعالان مدنی و حقوق بشر به گوش نرسد. زندانها از زندانیان عقیدتی پر شده اند. در جای جای ایران نارضایتی همگانی و همه گیر شده است. در ترکمن صحرا، در بلوچستان، در خوزستان، در کردستان، در دانشگاهها، در کارخانه ها، زنان، کارگران، فرهنگیان، دانشجویان ... در شهرهای مرکزی و در شهرهای مرزی ...

آیا این مسایل را با خشونت و دستگیری و ارعاب می توان حل کرد؟ آیا این خشونت ها و زندان کردن ها به نارضایتی دامن نمی زند، آیا نارضایتی ایستا را به نارضایتی پویا تبدیل نمی کند؟ آیا نارضایتی آرام و مسالمت امیز را به نارضایتی جنبشی و ستیزگرانه تبدیل نمی کند؟ آیا تصور می کنید در چنین شرایطی خواهید توانست جنبش مردم را کنترل کنید؟ آیا تصور می کنید افراد زیر فرمانتان از شما اطاعت خواهند کرد؟ اگر چنین توهمی را دارید کمی تاریخ بخوانید. تاریخ جنبش های مردمی هر کشوری را که مایل هستید بخوانید، شاید که بیدار شوید.

در چنین شرایط نگران کننده ای که شما اکنون با خفقان و اعمال خشونت ایجاد کننده آن خواهید بود، آنها که رهبری توده های ناراضی را در دست خواهند گرفت، دیگر این اپوزیسیون منطقی، خردمند مسالمت جوی خشونت ستیز نخواهد بود. تصور می کنید شما که این همه فساد و خشونت کرده اید در کجای معادله قرار خواهید گرفت و مردم با شما چه رفتاری خواهند داشت؟

کمی سر خود را بخارانید تا من سخن بعدی خود را بگویم.

There isn't a day when we don't hear of more arrests of students and civil and human rights activists in Iran. Prisons are full with prisoners of conscience. Everywhere in Iran there are protests and demonstrations of discontent and disillusionment. From north to south, from east to west, in universities and in factories, women, workers, teachers, students,  in central cities and in border cities.  

Can all these be solved by violence, arrests and intimidation? Doesn't exercise of violence and imprisonment spread the discontent further and convert passive and peaceful protests into dynamic and challenging ones? Do you think that under the conditions widespread and dynamic protests, you can control the masses? Do you think that those under your command for quelling a mass challenge will then obey your orders? If you have such illusions, I recommend you do some readings of history. You can read the history of mass movements of any country at any time; maybe then you will wake up to reality from the dream you are in.

Under such unthinkable conditions, which you are creating with your hands, by suppression and exercise of violence, those elements who will take the leadership of the masses will no longer be the current logical, wise, peaceful and anti-violence political opposition. Where do you think you will be then in the equation of events? With all the corruption and violence you have in your report card, what do think the masses will do to you? 

Scratch your head a bit, until I speak my mind next.
